Clipboard Access in Internet Explorer

By design, most of PBworks features work without any modification to any browser settings.  However, Internet Explorer does sometimes block users from copying and pasting information from the computer's clipboard into a Javascript editor.  This is done as a security measure, but it may interfere with your usage of PBWorks.  Here's how to enable clipboard access, so that you can paste text into the PBworks editor.  If you are blocked from accessing these settings, then you will have to consult with the people responsible for the maintenance of your computer to make these changes for you.

  1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, and then Internet Options. (Alt+T, and then Internet Options).
  2. Click the Security tab.
  3. Click the Custom Level button.
  4. In the listing, look for the Scripting category, and then "Allow Programmatic clipboard access".

  5. Set that option to enable it.
