File Preview
|
Note: The Business Edition of PBworks provides improved file preview capabilities that cannot be implemented in the educational version of our product.
When you upload or link to a file on PBworks users are presented the file in a file page, and the service automatically generates a preview for the file based on the kind of file it is. For most kinds of images, the image is shown on the file preview page. For PDFs, the first page of the PDF is shown if the preview is available. For all other file formats an indication that no preview is available is shown. Additionally, the complexity of some files can lead to no preview being generated.

Downloading Files
When editing a page, editors can use the controls of the editor to resize images, but when viewing the file page, the preview for the image is shown to best fit the current size of the window. This is especially useful for high-resolution images, so users on all kinds of monitors and devices can see the image without panning or having to zoom out. Click the "View original" control to view the full resolution of the image within the browser.
