The PBworks editor now has a tool to perform simple cropping operations on any image in your workspace.  The cropped version of the image is saved on the workspace as a new revision of the file.  Even if an image is cropped, you still have access to the complete file history of any image, and can use that file history to revert to previous versions of the image.

To crop an image:

  1. First, enter edit mode on the page which contains the image you wish to crop.  You can only crop images while in edit mode.  Click on the image once so that the white boxes around the image appear.

  2. Next, right-click (or hold down Control and click on the Mac) to get the context menu of the image.  Click on the "Crop Image" selection.

  3. In the box that appears, you'll have control over a small rectangle that is hovering over the image.  Use this to set a new size and shape for the image.  Anything inside the rectangle will be preserved in the image, anything outside the rectangle will be removed.  Click "Crop and Save" to save the image.

  4. The new revision of the image is immediately saved when you crop it.  Even if you hit cancel (and cancel your page edit) the file will still be the cropped version.  To revert the image back, you can use the file history to revert the image file back to a previous version.
