Because the educational edition of PBworks is used in schools, Administrators of spaces can add users in a variety of ways. 

• If the school email system supports the use of PBworks, then adding users by email address is best so that individual students can subscribe to updates to the workspace, and reset their own password through My PBworks if needed.
• If the school email system limits email usage severely, then a teacher can add users by setting up a custom username and password for specific students.  If a password needs to be reset, the Administrators can do so through the user's list.
• Finally, if an Administrator does not know the exact email address of a student, then the Administrator can either make the entire workspace public, and available to all internet users, or they can set up their private workspace to allow users to request access.
